Greetings to all of our Higher Grade friends and family. It has been a while since we have officially “checked in” with everyone, and we wanted to share with you a little bit about what’s been happening with us since this summer.
Since the coronavirus pandemic began, we have been following strict guidelines set forth by the city, state, and M.E.D., on how to operate our business safely and effectively. At the current moment we are only accepting online orders, and there is no in-person shopping happening at any of our three locations. We understand that this makes shopping with us less fun and enjoyable, however, this is what’s best for everyone’s safety. We will keep you updated with any changes we plan to make regarding in-store shopping, once restrictions lessen and/or Colorado’s infection rate drops.
We greatly appreciate the patience and loyalty that has been bestowed upon us during this very trying time. Trust that our team is working long and hard hours to make sure people get cannabis they need. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our three locations by phone if you need any sort of assistance shopping with us. A polite but firm reminder, masks are absolutely required at all times you are on our property, outside or inside. This means even if you are waiting on the sidewalk outside to pick up your order. Please allow at least 6 feet of space between you and any other patrons or employees you encounter. Please give space to the person in front of you picking up their order, do not crowd around the stairs or front doors of any of our locations. People need to be able to enter and exit safely when shopping and using the ATM.

Frontline Farming
Higher Grade is all about community involvement. At any given time, we are working with local organizations to interact with our greater Denver community and offer assistance when we are able. In August, we had the amazing opportunity to work with Frontline Farming and volunteer our time around their gardens. Frontline Farming has three main points of focus when it comes to the community work they do; Food Security, Food Justice, and Food Sovereignty. Creating points of access to healthy food, and promoting sustainable growing practices is at the core of what they do. Please check out our webpage detailing our week with FLF. It includes pictures and more details, as well as information on how you can get involved.(https://www.highergradeco.com/frontlinefarming)
Mural
In October we completed a mural project for the street-facing wall of our Downtown Recreational location, at 1269 Elati Street. Our goal for the mural was to brighten, liven, and warm up our little corner. We wanted our space to be inviting and also beautiful to our neighbors. Higher Grade was lucky to be able to work with local artists Tukeone (https://www.instagram.com/tukeone/?hl=en)
and Chad Bolsinger (https://www.cbolsinger.com/) to bring our mural dreams to fruition. The imagery they painted is absolutely everything we wanted and more. A mystical, full of life, lush nature scene that feels like a mini-vacation every time you lay your eyes on it. If you have not had the chance yet, do yourself a favor and come check out our mural next time you shop Rec with us, or are in the neighborhood
Holiday Food Drive
Throughout the entire month of December, we will be collecting non-perishable food item donations to be distributed to those most in need in our community. There is no limit to the amount of times or items you donate. We ask that people please donate things from our healthy foods list linked here. The number of food items donated, determines the percentage discount off the entire order.
1-2 item = 5% off
3-4 item = 10% off
5-9 items = 15% off
10+ items = 20% off
*maximum discount is 20% off $100 or $20 off total order
*discount cannot be stacked with other discounts
We recognize the holidays can be a difficult time for many, and we appreciate any amount you are able to donate.
Changes and Announcements
Medical Membership Changes
If you have not heard already, our membership program at our medical locations is changing. Member Benefits are becoming Member Loyalty Rewards. As a medical member, each dollar you spend equates to one point. Each point you accrue equals $.05 in rewards. Your rewards can be redeemed at any time for any purchase, as long as you are a member with us. Additionally, these points do not expire and will continue to accrue, as long as you are a member.
New Merchandise Available Through Online Ordering
In the absence of in-person shopping, branded merch items are available for purchase through our online ordering platform under APPAREL & MERCHANDISE.
We dropped a new line of HG T-shirts and long-sleeved T’s available for purchase through our online ordering platform for each location. We have winter hats and hoodies on the way that will be available soon. We dropped a new 2021 Higher Grade Wall Calendar, featuring gorgeous photos of our flower by Sevenfifty Designs, also available through our online ordering platform under Apparel & Merchandise. We think our calendar would make a great holiday gift for the cannabis lover in your family! We have new stickers featuring the Denver skyline, and multiple sizes of branded re:stash jars available. We are also stocked with HG branded medtainers and lighters.
We just want to say a tremendous thank you to all of our customers and employees for handling a really tough year with grace, patience, loyalty, and love. We love our Denver community, and we want you to know that we are in this with you. We know that cannabis is essential for many people, and we here to make sure you have safe and easy access to it. All our love and best wishes for 2021 to be a wonderful, healthy, and prosperous year for everyone.
